GCSE Art

The art course available is aimed at those students who would like to work in creative industries, as well as those who are contemplating careers in: building, the beauty industry and media to name but a few from a list of hundreds.

Students will need to be committed to producing high quality coursework to deadlines. They will be expected to complete six projects over the two years of the course and sit a final exam. In each case students will also be expected to complete 25% of their coursework in their own time.

The units are:

- 2D & 3D visual language
- Materials techniques & technology
- Working to a brief (the exam)

You should be prepared to purchase an art kit and a coursework guide.
